ADVOCATING FOR YOUR BUSINESS SUCCESS

Why human connections are at the heart of advocacy

The power of persuasion

Problematic procurement processes and difficult contracting terms are unlikely to make even the most passionate policymaker’s heart skip a beat. But Consult Australia’s WA Manager Emma Thunder is making impressive progress for members with a simple but powerful strategy.

Consult Australia’s recommendations for a rolling pipeline

Infrastructure review

As the Australian Government puts the $120 billion infrastructure pipeline under the microscope, Consult Australia’s submission is crystal clear. “Pipeline transparency and certainty are critical to the sustainability and success of Consult Australia members,” says Kristy Eulenstein.

Stepping up for small business

Insurance crisis

Against a backdrop of ever-rising insurance premiums, a proposed practice standard for professional engineers in New South Wales will make it even harder for smaller firms to secure insurance. Here’s how Consult Australia is stepping up to support our members…

PEOPLE & MOVEMENTS

Arup Principal Jonathan Griffin is stepping into the role of Advisory Leader, Australasia, as the firm focuses on meeting increased demand for advisory services that embed sustainability into the built environment across infrastructure, property and transport.

Arabella Rohde has joined AECOM as Area Manager for the ACT, while Corie Taylor takes on the role of First Nations engagement lead for Australia.

Amelia Linzey will step into the role of Group Chief Executive of Beca in October, becoming just the eighth CEO since Beca was established in 1920.

Dean Comrie has joined engineering and environmental consultant pitt&sherry as its new Chief Executive Officer.

HDR has appointed Tim Napper as its Defence Principal in a move that fortifies the company’s defence capability at a critical juncture for the Department of Defence, following this year’s Strategic Review.
