AECOM appoints Arabella Rohde and Corie Taylor

Arabella Rohde has been appointed as the new Area Manager for the ACT at AECOM. She brings more than 25 years of experience in the infrastructure and property sectors and was the first female president-elect of the ACT Division Property Council of Australia.

Arabella has held prominent roles across the industry, including positions at Lendlease, ISPT and the University of Canberra. In these roles, she has overseen projects worth approximately $400 million and led the delivery of large mixed-use developments. Her experience spans innovation, design development, commercial management, stakeholder leadership, and project delivery.

“I am thrilled to join AECOM, a leading ACT business with a strong legacy in Canberra. With an impressive pipeline of projects and a talented team, I’m excited to work together with our industry to help shape our clients’ projects and address pressing environmental challenges and rapid technological change.”

Meanwhile, Corie Taylor takes on the role of First Nations engagement lead for AECOM in Australia. Based in Turrbul and Yuggera land (Brisbane), Corie will lead a national strategy to advance First Nations representation and inclusion.

Corie, a Gomeroi man from North-West New South Wales, will steer the implementation of AECOM’s Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan and other programs. He brings more than 20 years of experience in Indigenous affairs and engagement across private, community, and government sectors, including positions with Rio Tinto, BHP, and EY.

“We are thrilled to welcome Corie Taylor as our First Nations engagement lead at AECOM. Corie will be instrumental in our continued cultural learning, helping us integrate technical and cultural expertise,” says Richard Barrett, AECOM’s chief executive, Australia and New Zealand.

“The opportunity to contribute to AECOM’s First Nations agenda is an exciting prospect, and I already have a sense of the genuine commitment it has made in progressing outcomes for First Nations people across Australia,” Corie says.
