Arup’s co-chairs win Women in Leadership Award

Kerryn Coker and Kate West, Arup's Australasia region co-chairs, have recently won the professional services category of the Australian Financial Review Women in Leadership Awards.

When the role at global consulting firm Arup arose, the pair of engineers were determined to pitch a new model of leadership. As they told the AFR: “We both got the tap on the shoulder asking whether we were interested … but at that time, we both had young children and complex demands on the home front… So we decided to put in a non-conforming bid.”

The cooperative model offers work-life balance and, the pair believe, supports more effective strategic and operational guidance of the company. Congratulations Kerryn and Kate.
