The way we learn is changing. In the 2021 review of Australia’s higher education sector, David Gonski AC and Peter Shergold AC noted as much.
“Short-duration, employer-specific courses and industry-focused micro credentials will become more important,” in the years ahead, the pair emphasised. “Online courses, accessible from around the world, will increasingly be used to evidence specific workplace training.”
Armed with that information, the Consult Australia team is rolling out a new series of short courses.
“We are continually looking to deliver new value to our smaller members, and one of the best ways to do that is with relevant, accessible education programs,” Linda says.
Consult Australia offers a range of industry-leading face-to-face, online and inhouse training options. The 2.5-day Contracts for Consultants course has 2,000-plus alumni, for instance, while the Role of the Superintendent course books out months in advance.
“We know some of our smaller members can’t always take time out of their businesses for professional development, so we’ve created micro training options that make it easy for them to upskill their staff and update their own knowledge.”
From 1 July 2024, this new series of one-hour online programs will be available, each earning valuable CPD points. Competitively priced, with a discount for Consult Australia members, the courses cover a wide range of topics.
“We have sessions on employment law, risk management strategies and the ins and outs of insurance. We will continue to add to the suite of short courses over the coming months,” Linda says.
