Over her 26 years with AECOM, Ashley has held various major program delivery, operational and work-winning leadership roles in Australia and Asia, including leading AECOM’s Asia Pacific Oil & Gas business, strategy implementation for Australia and New Zealand, and most recently as Regional Business Line Director, Environment & Energy for ANZ.

Consult Australia members champion change

Cate Cowlishaw, Regional Managing Principal of design practice HDR, and Aurecon’s Structural Engineer Jane Joubert were recognised at the NAWIC NSW Awards for Excellence on 30 November.

Talented leaders from HDR and Aurecon, two of Consult Australia’s member companies, were recognised at the NAWIC NSW Awards for Excellence on 30 November.

Cate Cowlishaw, Regional Managing Principal of design practice HDR, was awarded the Richard Crookes Business Woman of the Year. “Cate’s advocacy for diversity, equity and inclusion has achieved a 50/50 gender balance across HDR’s leadership team, and that advocacy is creating ripples of change across the global practice,” said Georgia Coulston, NAWIC NSW Chapter President.

Aurecon’s Jane Joubert took home the Hassell Award for Innovation in Design. As a lead structural engineer on the Allianz Stadium project, Jane developed digital workflows that fast-tracked the construction program and resulted in a lighter, more efficient stadium. The implementation of her design tools, among other key initiatives from the design team, meant Allianz Stadium was designed to achieve a LEED-certified Gold rating from the US Green Building Council.

Australia’s largest awards program for women in property and construction is hosted by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) NSW Chapter.
