GHD names Jim Giannopoulos as new Global CEO

Global professional services company, GHD, has appointed Jim Giannopoulos as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Ashley Wright, effective 2 April 2024. 

Jim was most recently CEO - Americas, having led the Canadian and then all operations for GHD’s Americas region including Canada, USA and Chile over the past four years. Having joined the company as a graduate chemical engineer over 30 years ago, he has held various leadership and project roles in Australia, Asia, Canada and the United States.

Jim is a Chartered Professional Engineer, a Fellow of Engineers Australia and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He will be based in Melbourne, Australia.

AECOM has expanded its aviation leadership team with the appointment of Duncan Price as Aviation Client Director for Australia and New Zealand.
 
Duncan will support aviation clients in responding to the significant forecasted passenger and aircraft traffic growth over the next 20 years through capacity enhancement projects and operational efficiency initiatives.
 
Duncan is an industry-recognised leader in the Aviation sector with 20 years of project delivery experience across the private and advisory sectors in the UK and Australia. His experience spans strategic planning, airfield design, operational planning, landside ground transport, terminal planning, and construction management.

Duncan said, “Sustainability and digital innovation are priorities both landside and airside as we see exponential growth in air travel. We are partnering with our clients to address capacity, improve passenger experience and reduce costs with innovative and sustainable solutions.”
