Leading excellence together
Submissions are now open for the 2025–26 Consult Australia Awards for Excellence, recognising the standout people, projects and practices shaping our industry.
This year’s theme, ‘Leading Excellence Together,’ captures the collaborative spirit of the design, consulting and engineering sector.
“The Consult Australia Awards for Excellence help us share the stories that matter,” says Linda Grant, Head of Engagement at Consult Australia.
“The awards honour not just what we do, but how we work together with clients, partners and communities to deliver projects that shape a better future.”
Celebrating collaboration and impact
This year’s winners exemplified what it means to lead excellence together:
- Aurecon CEO William Cox was recognised for advancing workplace inclusion through bold leadership and action.
- Arup earned top honours across innovation, sustainability and digital design, demonstrating how technical leadership and cross-sector collaboration go hand in hand.
- GHD’s Natalie Ambroso, named Future Leader, showcased how client-focused design can drive both performance and progress.
- Aurecon, GHD and Laing O’Rourke pioneered a top-down construction method that improved safety and stability and concrete use by 40%.
- Tonkin showed how firms of all sizes are leading with purpose, helping to rebuild the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre after disaster.
