Arcadis has elevated several of its senior executives. Sector Executive for Rail, Transit, Ports and Aviation Renaye Peters has more than 25 years of senior leadership experience. She has held executive roles with Queensland Rail, Monash University, AECOM, Brisbane Airport Corporation, Visionstream and Leighton Contractors. Renaye has previously served as Director of Queensland Rail, Chair of Queensland Rail’s Major Projects Committee and member of the Audit and Risk Committee, alongside other advisory and committee roles.

Rebecca Hewlett, as new Service Executive for Environmental Services APAC, also brings more than 25 years of international consulting and senior leadership experience to her role. Rebecca has held leadership positions with Xodus Group, Jacobs and Coffey (now Tetra Tech). She has established and grown multidisciplinary consulting teams across Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States and Japan.

And Ken Lunty has started a new role as APAC Service Area Lead – Sustainability Advisory & Circular Economy. Ken, who has been Arcadis Technical Director for sustainability for the last four years, will support colleagues across the Asia-Pacific region to grow capability, strengthen collaboration and deliver innovative sustainability solutions. “From decarbonisation and climate resilience to circular economy and sustainable infrastructure, the opportunities to create positive impact have never been greater,” he says.

The first woman to lead architecture firm Buchan in its 135 year history, Laraine Sperling will head up five studios across Australia and New Zealand.

Laraine has been with Buchan since 2021, most recently in the role of Chief Strategy Officer. Her elevation is the culmination of a 30-year career in the built environment. She has extensive experience in senior roles within multi-disciplinary, international design firms, in addition to client-side roles with mixed-use global developers.

“The industry is going through an era of profound change, defined by technological advances, climate imperatives and rising construction costs. Buchan remains focused on identifying new areas of opportunity and empowering a new generation within the practice to lead,” Laraine says.

International project advisory firm WT has appointed Heidi Mitchell as Chief Executive Officer of WT Australia, effective 1 August 2026.

Heidi has served as WT’s Chief Operating Officer since 2023, leading and scaling the firm’s national operations and chairing its national leadership team in Australia.

WT supports clients in Australia across property, construction and infrastructure with an award‑winning team of 500 specialists in portfolio and program advisory, cost management and quantity surveying, commercial advisory, carbon and sustainability, asset and facilities management, and digital solutions.

Kerryn Coker joins Umwelt as a Non-Executive Director, bringing extensive experience in governance, strategy, business transformation and leadership across the professional services sector.

Kerryn spent more than 20-year career with Arup, most recently serving as co-chair and co-CEO of the Australasia region and chair of the regional board. In this role, Kerryn lead strategy, governance, business performance and large multidisciplinary teams across Australia and the broader region.

Kerryn currently serves on the board of CSIRO and holds a range of advisory and industry leadership roles, including with Engineers Australia and the University of Technology Sydney. She is a former Chair of the Consult Australia Champions of Change.
