TASWATER CONTRACT REVIEW

TasWater has recently asked stakeholders for feedback on new proposed contract conditions. Key changes include sperate contracts for minor works and major works, with a liability cap in the major works contract. While Consult Australia welcomes the consultation and the positive changes, we still have concerns about the proposed contract conditions including on; insurance, fitness for purpose, security and consequential loss. We look forward to working with TasWater to improve the suite of contracts to deliver productivity savings and ensure TasWater is a client of choice.

Seeking Best Practice Examples

Consult Australia are pulling together case studies of projects around the country that demonstrate best practice in procurement practices or contracting. As government clients rollout work to support the economic recovery to COVID-19 we want to show that best practice isn't an invention text! Its been done before and can be done again. Tasmania is currently not represented in the 20+ projects we have already. Please contact us as soon as possible with the projects you've worked on in the Apple Isle!
