Who the Course is aimed at and Why
Claims and disputes are a common feature of construction projects in Australia and every business needs teams who are alive to this risk and have the skills that can respond. This intensive 2 day interactive workshop is designed to provide the participants with the knowledge and practical skills and tools needed to understand and navigate this very real risk.
Day 1 is focused on setting the project up before the claim or dispute has emerged. You will learn how to build a project execution strategy that will help mitigate the risk of a dispute and claim arising, including practical sessions on how to build the templates and processes you will need, record management and working with your team and internal stakeholders.
On Day 2 we shift to when a claim or dispute has arisen. Here we cover dispute pathways, claim strategy, building and managing a claim team, and dispute resolution.
The course is ideal for both those delivering the projects, technical leads, project managers and commercial managers, as well as your in-house legal, finance and commercial teams.
