Ken Rosewall Arena Redevelopment


With only 12 months between concept and completion, Arup’s structural engineers collaborated with Cox Architecture, Fabritecture and AW Edwards to deliver a striking new cable-tension, canopy roof for Tennis NSW ahead of the inaugural ATP cup – a first of its kind for stadia in Australia.

Bankwest Stadium


Bankwest Stadium is an iconic piece of social infrastructure. Aurecon, Lendlease and Populous collaborated on a design and construction strategy focused on achieving the client’s aspirations for speed of delivery, locally sourced products and services, and a world-class, fan-focused community facility for the people of Western Sydney.

Sydney Metro TSE Works - Marine Sediment Tunneling

Douglas Partners

Collaboration between consultant, contractor and laboratory to create an expedited test method to enable rapid verification of treated acid sulfate soil harbour sediments from a 24/7 tunnel boring machine on a severely constrained CBD site for sustainable reuse of 15,000T of treated sediments via a site specific resource recovery order.

North East Link – Service Proving Site Investigations Package


Through the North East Link Service Proving Site Investigations Program, GHD identified 800+ underground utility services within the 25km project area, including 120+ non-destructive digging excavations. They achieved the highest survey accuracy and corresponding road pavement reinstatements on some of Melbourne’s busiest roads, and mitigated future risks for the client.

Drainage Unit Rates Calculator Tool Development

MIEngineers (Leckring Pty Ltd)

MIEngineers was engaged to convert City of Gold Coast Council's Excel drainage rate formulation tool into Benchmark Estimating Software. This innovative project was delivered through great collaboration, with client and produced outcomes that were beyond the initial expectations primarily due to excellent communication, project role definition and understanding the scope. 

South East Queensland People Mass Movement Study (PMMS)


The PMMS is a multi-modal blueprint for SEQ’s transport infrastructure designed to respond to 2041's transport demand. The plan recommends staged investments in transport to 2041. Given the large $63 billion investment collaborative partnerships were critical to ensure the three tiers of Government were aligned including for the SEQ CityDeal.

Logan Enhancement Project

SMEC GHD Design Joint Venture (SGJV)

The $512 million project was the first successfully delivered market-led proposal in Queensland and involved upgrading the Logan and Gateway Extension motorways, improving key congestion hot spots. Through collaboration at all levels, the project achieved an ‘Excellent’ sustainability rating for the design phase and a ‘leading’ as-built rating.
