Join us, for our event on Mentally Healthy Workplaces; to outline the impact of mental health on society, the workplace, and how it affects your business.

“Mental health underpins the success of society.  Mental health has been defined by the World Health Organization as ‘a state of wellbeing in which every individual realises his or her potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution in her or his community.”

What does mental health mean to you, and your business?
What are the biggest challenges you face, and will continue to face, as a company tackling mental health?

Facilitator:
Dr Francesca Maclean, Consultant, City Economics and Planning, Arup

Panel:
Keynote: Gerry Doyle, Chief Executive at Tonkin Consulting
Shabnam Gill, HR Business Partner – Transportation at Arcadis
Kelly Maslin, Vice President and Executive Director of Operations – Southern | APAC Buildings and Infrastructure at Jacobs
Michael O’Hanlon, Workplace Engagement Manager, Beyond Blue

This breakfast is an opportunity for members, associates and those working in the public sector to learn of current mental health challenges facing workplaces in Australia, exploring best practices within the sector, and investigating effective approaches in other sectors.

A facilitated panel discussion will explore strategies for providing mentally healthy workplaces, identify some initiatives in place for mentally healthy workplaces more broadly - and share examples of effective actions consulting firms can put in place to meet their social obligations to provide mentally healthy workplaces and to help improve the productivity of their business as a result.

The conversation will also consider how small and medium enterprises can implement features of programs developed by larger entities.
