Join the Chief Executive
Officer of NELA, Duncan Elliott for an overview of the status of the North-East
Link Project. Duncan will talk about what does the North East Link Project mean
for Melbourne and take the audience though a progress update on the project
planning and funding. The North East Link will finally complete the missing link
in Melbourne, building the missing freeway link between the Metropolitan Ring
Road at Greensborough and the Eastern Freeway. They are responsible for all
aspects of the project, especially procurement strategy and proposed delivery timescale.
As Duncan has decades of experience in working in the
industry, Duncan leads NELP's team of engineers, designers and specialists, he
will discuss any challenges presented by the project and where the consultant
community can make a significant contribution to minimising impacts on
communities and the environment.

Duncan is the Chief Executive
Officer at North East Link authority. Duncan was appointed to this project
in April 2017. The North East Link will finally complete the missing link
in Melbourne, building the missing freeway link between the Metropolitan
Ring Road at Greensborough and the Eastern Freeway. Along with Level
Crossing Removal Project, Rail Projects Victoria, West Gate Tunnel Project
and Major Road Projects Victoria, North East Link Project forms part of
Victoria’s Major Transport Infrastructure Authority.
Duncan has also worked for
Victoria's State road agency, VicRoads for 18 years with his last 5 years
as a Regional Director, responsible for road construction, planning and
maintenance both in metropolitan Melbourne and South Western Victoria.
Following this, Duncan spent five years in the private sector at the Royal
Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) as General Manager – Membership.
