Steve Keating Executive Director, Stakeholder Engagement, from The Special Projects Unit will provide insight into Queen’s Wharf Brisbaneas it moves into the next stage of this transformational project. The $3 billion catalytic project will provide around 2,000 jobs during peak construction, 8,000 jobs once operational in around 2022 and deliver an estimated 1.39 million additional tourists to Queensland.

In addition to Queen’s Wharf Brisbane, in October 2017, the Government announced a proposed Global Tourism Hub (GTH) for Tropical North Queensland, bringing a dynamic new tourism opportunity to the region. Here about the indicative project timeline for Cairns and what this means for industry.
