Dan van Holst Pellekaan MP

As we move closer to the South Australian 2018 Election, join us for lunch to discuss in more detail, the Opposition’s vision and key policy objectives within the Energy and Mining portfolio moving toward the State Election and beyond.

This conversation will provide the assistance needed in understanding the future capability needs of our members’ firms - and continue to build the invaluable partnership between industry and government securing the best outcomes for the State.

Dan’s father immigrated to Australia as an infant with his family in 1937, hence the long Dutch last name. Dan was born in Australia and grew up with his parents and younger siblings.

Dan started out doing labouring and construction work and then played four seasons in the National Basketball League.

Dan has worked for BP Australia and bought Spud's Roadhouse at Pimba, where he lived for for seven years. Dan also worked on tourism product development with the South Australian Tourism Commission, local government, businesses and communities throughout the Flinders Ranges.

Dan was elected to State Parliament in 2010.
