Consult Australia

Special CE Update

It is with very mixed feelings that I write to members today to let you know that I have decided to finish up my time at Consult Australia after 18 years with the organisation, to embark on the next chapter in my career.

My time at Consult Australia has been full of wonderful opportunities to learn and grow, and I am proud of many initiatives and accomplishments over that time.
Of special mention is our Thought Leadership work which has given us a strong seat at many political

tables, and our Consult Australia Male Champions of Change program which has had a profound impact on the individuals and organisations involved.

Of course, there are many others, our Education program, Leaders Conference, Policy Dialogue Day and deep advocacy agenda and capability in the States and Territories.

However I would have to say that all of these pale in comparison to the relationships I have formed over the years with staff, members and stakeholders. I have had the great privilege over the years to meet some truly inspirational leaders whom I am now proud to call friends. I thank all of you for your friendship, wise counsel and support over a great many years. I will be working through to 26 November to assist the Board with transitional arrangements, and I'll have the opportunity to thank many of you in person over that period.

Consult Australia and the broader sector we represent has been through its ups and downs over the last 18 years, from infrastructure booms to the GFC and mining downturn and everything in between. But today I leave the association in good shape, with solid finances, a stable and professional team and a clear agenda for the road ahead.

I wish you continued success.
