Future Leader

The Future Leader Award acknowledges professional staff of member firms aged 35 years and under who have made a significant contribution to their firm and added value in a demonstrable way.


Meg Panozzo


Meg Panozzo is a civil engineer at Arup, working on some of Australia’s largest infrastructure projects. She is the founder and Chair of ConnectSTEM, an initiative addressing the barriers faced at every level of a woman’s career such as progression, retention and attracting future generations into engineering careers.

Harriet Floyd


In 2019, Harriet led a team, engaged by the Australian Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, to investigate the benefits, risks and barriers to using hydrogen as a transport fuel in Australia by 2030. The team’s report informed the development of Australia’s National Hydrogen Strategy by Dr Alan Finkel.

Pratik Shrestha


Pratik has led and managed significant and complex design projects, including Perth Children’s Hospital. He brings clients’ ideas to life through innovation, digital engineering, and applying design thinking. In 2018, Pratik was awarded the Stan Perron Award for Western Australia Future Leader of the Year.

Sophie St John


Sophie is an ecologist and Team Leader who drives the cause for environmentally-considered solutions. At Cardno she leads a diverse team to deliver innovative solutions for projects both big and small. She is also an advocate for her industry working with peak bodies to drive the cause of young professionals.

David Barker

Integral Group

David has been instrumental in the start-up and growth of our London and Australian offices. With an eye to nurturing relationships, development and innovation, he is acknowledged internationally as an expert and thought leader in Building Physics and Analytical design. Promoted last year to Principal in recognition of his contributions.

James Leiper

Pritchard Francis

A keen advocate for sustainability and innovation, James is a leader at Pritchard Francis and excited about his future. He takes a very active role in the strategic direction of the firm and is key to its success, adding a wealth of skills and passion to his role.

Brendon Ralph


A highly motivated and dynamic leader, Brendon has experience in leading teams in delivering complex multi-disciplinary development, engineering and construction projects. He has developed innovative process to improve team efficiencies and performance. He is an active member of his local Rugby club, coaching women’s and children’s teams.

Nicola Hayes


Nicola has proactively led complex interdisciplinary designs, including developing innovative hybrid prestressed / post-tensioned structural systems.  She guides a diverse team of ranging experience from Graduates to Principal Engineers. Nicola is actively involved in fundraising and charity events and has been a member of Lindfield football club for 10 years.
