An Interactive Session for Business Leaders

As the movement to create more diverse and inclusive workplaces grows, companies are keen to get on board. But where to start?

This practical, interactive session invites business leaders to deeply engage on all aspects of ‘D&I’ – from the economic to the personal – and launches the first step in co-creating contemporary, high-performing cultures where all can thrive.  Like any business strategy, it starts with leadership. Diversity and Inclusion Benefits, Barriers and Best Practice is a tailored-to-industry workshop where leaders reflect on the business case and how it relates to their firm, the systemic barriers and cultural contributors that impede progress, and local and global best practice to overcome resistant challenges.

What we’ll cover:

  • Benefits – overview of the data-driven Business Case. The ‘Why’ of ‘D and I’ – why firms are investing heavily to create diverse and inclusive workplaces.
  • Barriers – prevalent challenges: Unconscious Bias; Socialised Behavioural Differences; Systemic and Policy challenges
  • Best Practice – Critical Success Factor framework – a holistic vs piecemeal approach. The framework the CA Male Champions are following to significantly and sustainably increase the proportion of women in their firms/across the industry. In this section, we’ll touch on key policies and programs required to recruit, retain and advance women. We’ll also reference best practice case studies—global and local.
