Salary and Benefits Survey

The Consult Australia Salaries & Benefits Survey, conducted annually by Aon Hewitt (previously CSi and Hewitt CSi), is an industry survey exclusive to Consult Australia members. It is a comprehensive survey providing remuneration tables to help firms benchmark employee remuneration.

Member firms have participated in Consult Australia's Salaries & Benefits Survey since 2001. The Survey has been a great success with an average of over 30 organisations contributing each year, and the publication of more than 150 remuneration tables for traditional and unique consulting engineering roles.

The survey covers engineering roles in the civil, electrical, mechanical, planning, environmental and structural disciplines, as well as for architects, drafters, scientists, surveyors and technical officers.

The survey is open only to Consult Australia firms and ensures that salaries are related to changing industry and economic circumstances. An annual survey feedback session provides members with a forum to network and discuss the survey results and market trends within the industry. All survey contributors receive an invitation to attend this session.

Members find the information contained in the survey extremely useful and great value for money. Furthermore, the Consult Australia Skills Roundtable negotiated with Aon Hewitt to make basic survey information available to small firms.
