Workplace Health and Safety

Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) is the discipline concerned with protecting the health and safety of all stakeholders in the workplace from exposure to hazards and risks resulting from work activities.

For consulting engineering firms this involves obligations in relation to their own workplaces and workplaces which they design.

The most prominent reasons for the existence of workplace safety legislation is that it allows us to govern, regulate and authorise basic workplace rights for employers, employees and others impacted from work activities.

Consult Australia unequivocally supports the adoption of WHS laws, regulations, and codes of practices that deliver improved workplace health and safety performance and safer working environments throughout Australia for all stakeholders.
