  Consult Australia's Policy Team and State Divisions lead Consult Australia's advocacy on behalf of our member firms, we: foster productive relationships with all levels of government; develop strategic partnerships with related industry and other associations; and engage with research organisations across policy porfolios and issues of interest to our members.

  A rapidly evolving policy environment demands adaptability to achieve results for our members.  The range of areas in which we continue to advocate on behalf of our member firms reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting their increasingly diverse interests and areas of expertise.

• Consult Australia's Industry Engagement

  Consult Australia is actively engaged with a number of various associations and forums including:

  • Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI). Australia's largest and most representative business association, ACCI speaks at a national and international level on behalf of the nation's peak State and Territory Chambers of Commerce and Industry and National Industry Associations from all sectors of the economy. 
  • Australian Services Roundtable (ASR). Consult Australia is an active member of the ASR; the peak business body for the Australian services industries, whose key objective is to secure Australia's position in the global services economy.
  • Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC). ASBEC is the peak body of key organisations committed to a sustainable built environment in Australia. Consult Australia is a member alongside a range of industry and professional associations, non-government organisations and government observers who are involved in the planning, design, delivery and operation of our built environment, and are concerned with the social and environmental impacts of this sector. 
  • Built Environment Meets Parliament (BEMP). BEMP is an annual conversation between parliamentarians and industry leaders that showcases the relationship between Australian communities and their built environment.
  • Green Star Communities Project Partner. Consult Australia is pleased to be a Green Star Communities Project Partner. As a project supporter, Consult Australia has committed to embracing the five national Green Star Communities Principles in our projects, policies and plans.
  • Urban Design Protocol. Creating Places for People is a collaborative commitment to best practice urban design in Australia. The protocol is the result of two years of collaboration between peak community and industry organisations, States, Territories, Local Governments, and the Australian Government. Consult Australia has adopted the principles of Creating Spaces for People and is proud to be a Champion for this protocol. 
  • Infrastructure Partnerships Australia (IPA). Consult Australia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with IPA, which identifies the synergies and a non exhaustive list of shared objectives between the two organisations, including the adoption of a cooperative arrangement for policy development on infrastructure issues.
  • Australian Construction Industry Forum (ACIF). ACIF is the peak body for the construction industry in Australia, the meeting place of the leaders of the construction industry.
  • International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC). FIDIC represents the consulting engineering industry at a global level. As such, the Federation promotes the business interest of firms supplying technology-based intellectual services for the built and natural environment.
